The Finnish edition of Charley’s War is out in August! The organiser, Tiero Mielonen, tells me ‘We will also make a slipcase for the books, so we should get a really nice looking package :)’
Tiero also tells me that the book doesn't have a pre-order page yet but ‘I believe it will show up in August after we have send the books to the funders. Turun sarjakuvakauppa https://www.sarjakuvakauppa.fi/ will be the best place to order the book.’
Meanwhile he’s sent me the TRIBUTE ILLUSTRATIONS that go with the books.
They all look amazing! And I was very pleased to see work from Bryan Talbot and Hunt Emerson – two great artists I’ve had the pleasure of working with.
Tiero also says: ‘One illustrator, Jouko Roukosenmäki, wasn't able to finish his drawing in time, so unfortunately we couldn't include it in the book but I attached a photo of it.’
I really like this image, too!
Everyone’s really captured the feeling of Charley so well. Best of luck to Tiero and his team with the launch in August.
Will that Finnish edition be in English or translated? Because I’d be very tempted to import it if the former.
