Nemesis The Warlock: Demons vs Demons

I’m blown away by Nemesis the Warlock: the Definitive Edition. My compliments to the publishers, Rebellion, and especially their designer Gemma Sheldrake for the truly inspired front and back covers.

Such a Definitive Edition requires a Definitive Commentary, a companion piece for when you’re looking at the beautiful art by art-creator Kevin O’Neill and the other talented artists that followed him. So it’s time for The Secret History of Nemesis the Warlock, an episode by episode revelation of what really went on behind the scenes.

Episode 7 – Demons vs Demons

Nemesis conjures up his own demons to do battle with the Monads but they are no match for the evils that Torquemada has created. And then, to make things worse, the Terminators arrive with Nostradamus on board, Torquemada’s older brother who is obsessed with Candida.  Hypnotised by the Primords, Candida is happy to kiss him, knowing the microbomb will explode and bring oblivion.  The episode ends with a bang.

I was knocked out reading this episode, it’s a classic cliffhanger that leaves readers waiting hungrily for the next prog of 2000AD!
