Requiem 12: Back from the Undead
If you think I’m being paranoid, consider that Marshal Law once attracted considerable criticism when we had a super villain ‘drop-kicking’ a kid in the direction of his home.
So after a gap of some ten years, Requiem was back, with special extended ‘diorama’ gatefold scenes.
It was so successful, it was immediately reprinted and there was even a special limited edition, and a gallery presentation at Angouleme, which drew record numbers of visitors.
The digital edition of Requiem 12: The Fall of Dracula is now available, on Gumroad and shortly on our Millsverse website, because the gatefold pages are just too wide for Kindle.
A paper English edition is likely to be some years away.
This is because Panini are publishing the first five volumes as an omnibus edition. Then they will publish the next five as a second omnibus edition. Followed by volume 11 and 12. So my guess is it’s going to be a while.
Censorship was very much on my mind when we put together the English Requiem 12, so I made some minor modifications so as not to attract the attention of what I shall now call ‘Guardian-influenced’ fans. Actually I can’t imagine ‘Guardian-influenced’ fans being interested in Requiem, but you never know, better to be safe than sorry.
