For a story to make sense, to be paced correctly, and to appeal to the reader sufficiently for them to buy the next episode means it must have an excellent and tight structure.
I did Blood of Satanus Judge Dredd with Ron Smith. He was amazing. Wish I had worked with him on other stories. He tends to be a little overshadowed by other Dredd artists, but to me he was one of the all time greats
Ron Smith's egg timer sounds like a perfect cure for pathological perfectionism.
I always loved how he drew MC1 and its citizens. From the buildings and vehicles to the clothes and hair styles, nothing looked contemporary. He was a Dredd mainstay in that 80s "golden era" but I don't recall seeing his work on much aside from Dredd. Did you ever work with Ron on anything?
